About Flourishing Futures

A warm welcome to my site.

I am Ali Carr, a Chartered and Specialist Educational Psychologist and Director of Flourishing Futures Educational Psychology Services, based in East Sussex. I provide local traded Educational Psychology Services, along with national services to schools and partner organisations to promote and support inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing.

I am passionate about working collaboratively with all members of the school community. Through collaborative work, I help identify strategies to enhance the experiences and wellbeing of pupils, staff, parents/ carers, and supporting professionals. I provide support at individual, group, whole-class, whole-school, and organisational levels, in the ways that work best for you. My aim is always to facilitate manageable changes that lead to a more positive experience for all.

I specialise in supporting and promoting inclusion and belonging across the education community, and I am the creator of the BASE Model of Inclusive Practice. Using positive psychological approaches, I help build on the strengths, skills, and resources of your school or organisation to support every member of the school community to flourish. I also provide CPD to help others facilitate inclusive practice. I offer coaching and supervision to support learning, wellbeing and professional growth.

Inclusion & Belonging

Use of evidence-based practice to support schools, local authorities, and partner organisations across the UK to develop and promote positive and relational inclusion. Through facilitating organisational and systemic change, I will support you to create a culture in which every member of the school community can thrive.

Supervision and Coaching

How I work

One of my key aims is to support schools in identifying the small changes that will make a big difference to the school experience for any or all members of the school community. That includes pupils, staff, parents/ carers, and even visitors to the school.

I use positive psychology approaches to help those I’m working with to identify and build upon what’s already working and to help make those tricky parts a bit easier.

Put another way, whether you work in a school or with schools, my aim is always to make your life and that of those you support easier.

I can help you to identify and refine your values as an individual, group, or organisation, link your values to your vision and mission as an organisation, and embed those values in everyday practice.

I am very aware of the financial pressures on schools, and I can support you to find low-cost and low-time-pressure solutions. These will ultimately help you to save money and resources, whilst also enhancing positive outcomes.
